The Phosphorescent
After a few months (June, July 2002) of repeated tests with phosphorescent pigments of varying size and color I finally managed to stabilize the crystals that "reflect the light.
The main problem was the temperature, sometimes too low and sometimes too high, so I started to test the temperature no longer with the legendary Seger cones but with the "Ring" small rings that provide the difference of less than one degree centigrade.
I tested these pigments with various chips, crystal and enamel, the best result I had with the chips and lead-free crystal.
The only problem is the cost of these pigments, very high, but the result is fascinating. Think .... we can also works in different colors, upload them to light during the day and night to see them lit.

Ceramica Raku
I started the raku first trials in '89 with poor results and effects, then I started to study and speak with industry experts (my father's friends) and the results have changed significantly.

In 1994 I started to exchange my formulas and to show to my teachers the results obtained with long forced reductions in the total absence of oxygen. If I have to tell you the truth, this technique is fascinating and full of surprises and new discoveries, but it is too simple and I think that if anyone has a friend with a good experience in a few weeks becomes a "Rakuista.
I like to give advice, the first and in cooking, not differ between gas and electricity, only time difference, which must be between 900 ° C and 980 ° C (check the thermocouple with a cone or seger orton, part of the moggior have a difference ranging from + / - 25 ° to + / -90 °). The second suggestion is
reductions in manufactured goods, enter your artifact inside the metal container (proportionate to the object) where you previously put sawdust dry well with paper when the paper catches fire seal the container. Object 10 to 15 minutes (for jewelry there is a different trick) average 15 to 20 and so on. If you want the end of the reduction can (not a rule) to immerse the artifact to cool it, and see the result.
If the artifact you do not like you can always rimmettere enamel (with some things) other than or equal above and repeat the entire procedure.

The Internal reductions
The reductions are very attractive, especially domestic ones. For several years I have successfully tested a new type of reduction inside the furnace, gas or ellettrico, with a result excellent, as I can make my art work with any type of clay, from the weakest to strongest without any change in tone or deformation or rupture.
Opera NB: Vitrified Porcelain 1260 ° C and reduction in drop-down enamel copper-based
training Opera 1.1: Consolidated Refractory 1050 ° C and reduction in drop-down enamel and copper nitrate
